Michael Mapes

Michael Mapes is the current CEO of Trivium Packaging, a global leader in metal packaging. Michael previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Exal Corporation from January 2016 to October 2019. Exal merged with Ardagh's Food and Specialty business in October 2019 to create Trivium Packaging. Prior to their role at Exal, Mapes was a Vice President at Greif from January 2004 to September 2014, where they led the company's strategic assessment of their entire portfolio and orchestrated a multi-billion dollar transformation agenda. Prior to their time at Greif, Mapes worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company from January 2002 to December 2004.

Michael Mapes earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University. Michael then went on to earn a GMP from Harvard Business School. Lastly, they earned a SEP from London Business School.
