Phil Martin

Dr Phil Martin is the Head of Transport Safety at TRL, where they lead global transport safety initiatives. With 15 years of experience in implementing the Safe Systems approach across surface transport sectors, Phil focuses on evidence-based research and consultancy to inform transport policies and standards. As co-lead of TRL’s Transport Foresight team, they provide insights on future transport trends. Phil has actively contributed to various international working groups and authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, along with presenting research at national and international conferences.
