Gabe Phan

Gabe Phan has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Gabe is currently working as the Director of Software Engineering at TRL11 since April 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director, Firmware Engineering at Intellivision Entertainment from December 2018 to June 2022. Gabe also worked at Teradek for ten years, starting as a Software Architect and eventually building the software department from a single person to over 30 engineers. Gabe designed and implemented firmware architecture and subsystems for embedded Linux. Before Teradek, Gabe worked at Open Video Inc. as a Principle Software Engineer, where they focused on video technologies and firmware development. Gabe also has experience as a Senior Firmware Engineer at GE Security where they contributed to wavelet compression DVR products and implemented drivers and firmware control. In the early stages of their career, Gabe worked at Ikanos Communications and Pairgain Technologies Inc as a Member of Technical Staff and Firmware Engineer, respectively. At GoDigital Telecommunications, they began their career as a Firmware Engineer and played a significant role in implementing the early firmware and introducing version control.

Gabe Phan obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside, completing their studies from 1991 to 1997.
