Chris O'Connell, PhD, is a seasoned human rights advocate, researcher, and educator with extensive international experience and a legal background. Currently serving as a Policy and Advocacy Advisor for Trócaire, they lead global advocacy efforts on corporate power and civil society issues. Chris has previously held roles at Anti-Slavery International and Dublin City University, focusing on contemporary forms of slavery and Latin American politics. They earned a PhD in Political Science and an MA in International Development from Dublin City University and have authored publications on various social justice topics. Chris is also fluent in Spanish.
