CEO and President at Trone Research + Consulting

Douglas Barton's work experience begins in 1983 as an Account Executive at M/A/R/C Research, where they remained until 1985. From 1985 to 1989, they served as a Brand Manager at Sara Lee Branded Apparel. In 1990, they joined Trone Advertising as a Vice President, a position they held until 1994. Douglas then joined Targetbase (Omnicom) as the Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing, a role they held from 1995 to 2000. In 2001, they moved to Lorillard Tobacco Company, where they served as the Director of Database Marketing until 2006. In February 2006, Douglas Barton became the Chief Executive Officer of Trone, a role they held until 2018. In January 2018, they became CEO and President of Trone Research + Consulting, where they currently work.

Douglas Barton obtained an MBA in Marketing from Eastern Illinois University during the years 1978 to 1983.
