Callan Brown

Callan Brown is a Senior Geologist at Tronox, active since January 2020, specializing in the Atlas/Campaspe mining operations. Previously, Callan served as a Mine Geologist at multiple mineral sand mines in New South Wales, where key responsibilities included ore mine forecasting, dredge strike planning, and geological modeling using Surpac and Micromine. From January 2017 to December 2019, Callan worked as a Contract Geologist for various companies, engaging in exploration for Copper, Cobalt, and Graphite, as well as resource drilling and geological support. Prior experience includes an Exploration/Project Geologist role at UraniumSA Limited focusing on drilling and greenfields exploration, along with internships at Santos Ltd that laid the groundwork for academic research. Callan holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geophysics, an Honours degree in Petroleum Geology and Geophysics, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Economic Geology at the University of Tasmania.
