Leonardo Hellström

Leonardo Hellström is an Executive EHS&S and Risk Leader with 20 years of experience, including 13 years in safety and environmental management within the mining sector. Currently serving as the Head of the Industrial Safety and Emergency Response Division at Tronox, they have previously held significant roles at companies such as Yamana Gold and Equinox Gold, where they excelled in health, safety, and environmental initiatives. Leonardo has achieved notable successes, including the first ESG certification by ABNT in Brazil and substantial reductions in accident frequency and severity rates. They hold a Master's degree in Occupational Risks and multiple postgraduate qualifications in Safety Engineering and Mining Engineering.
