Janine Jansen is a versatile professional with extensive experience in graphic design, food styling, photography, and writing. Since July 2014, Janine has been working at Jansen & Jansen, contributing as a graphic designer, food stylist, photographer, recipe developer, and writer, including authoring the book "Cholesterol. In 5 stappen en 50 recepten naar een gezonde cholesterolbalans." Additionally, Janine has served as a columnist for dagblad Trouw since March 2021, collaborating with cardiologist Annemieke Jansen to provide weekly columns featuring recipes. Janine also writes a bimonthly column for De smaak van Italië, focusing on healthy, Italian-inspired recipes. Since 2005, Janine has designed book covers for various publishers, including Prometheus/Bert Bakker and Uitgeverij Ambo|Anthos. Trouw
Trouw is one of the three national quality newspapers in the Netherlands, and part of the Belgium publisher De Persgroep. In 2012 it received the award European Newspaper of the Year fot its concept of a 'daily weekly' and its design. It produces every day a newssection and a section 'De Verdieping' with background, analyses, reports en opinions. On saturday there are two extra magazines called Letter&Geest with essays and bookreviews and a magazine named Tijd with human interest-story's. It's orginally founded in 1943 as a resistance newspaper. Nowadays the newspaper takes special interests in politics, sustainability, education, healthcare and the role of religion and (new) religious groups in our rapidly changing society.
