Trouw
Tomas Schats is an experienced illustrator and designer with a diverse background in various artistic roles since 2001. Currently serving as an Ontwerper at Seletti since March 2023, Tomas also contributes to NRC Media as an Illustrator for NRC Next/NRC Handelsblad and has held the position of Editorial Animator for Trouw since October 2016. Tomas's portfolio includes significant contributions as a Tekenaar/Ontwerper for ERA Contour B.V. and as an Illustrator for Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, VPRO, and the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Tomas's artwork is represented by Ram Gallery in Rotterdam, further showcasing expertise in animation and drawing. Educational credentials include a degree from the Akademie voor Kunst en Vormgeving in Den Bosch, completed in 2001.

Trouw
Trouw is one of the three national quality newspapers in the Netherlands, and part of the Belgium publisher De Persgroep. In 2012 it received the award European Newspaper of the Year fot its concept of a 'daily weekly' and its design. It produces every day a newssection and a section 'De Verdieping' with background, analyses, reports en opinions. On saturday there are two extra magazines called Letter&Geest with essays and bookreviews and a magazine named Tijd with human interest-story's. It's orginally founded in 1943 as a resistance newspaper. Nowadays the newspaper takes special interests in politics, sustainability, education, healthcare and the role of religion and (new) religious groups in our rapidly changing society.
