Trouw
Wouter van Wijk is an accomplished journalist and media professional with extensive experience in both traditional and online journalism. Currently working as a freelance journalist for Trouw since March 2022, Wouter also serves as the head editor for Dekortsteweg.nl, overseeing the website's journalistic content since August 2019. As a product owner and developer at Fiper.net since January 2018, Wouter contributes to an innovative news app praised for its user experience. Additionally, Wouter has been a co-owner at Edeas since January 2018. Prior experience includes significant roles at AD NieuwsMedia, where Wouter was a general reporter and online journalist from 2004 to 2018, as well as online editorial positions at FNV Bondgenoten and ownership of MediaVilla. Trouw
Trouw is one of the three national quality newspapers in the Netherlands, and part of the Belgium publisher De Persgroep. In 2012 it received the award European Newspaper of the Year fot its concept of a 'daily weekly' and its design. It produces every day a newssection and a section 'De Verdieping' with background, analyses, reports en opinions. On saturday there are two extra magazines called Letter&Geest with essays and bookreviews and a magazine named Tijd with human interest-story's. It's orginally founded in 1943 as a resistance newspaper. Nowadays the newspaper takes special interests in politics, sustainability, education, healthcare and the role of religion and (new) religious groups in our rapidly changing society.
