Leigh Schaefer

Leigh Schaefer is a seasoned data scientist with a robust background in machine learning and data analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Pave since May 2023, Schaefer previously held the role of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Alloy, where expertise was applied to develop machine learning infrastructure for fraud risk scoring and reporting. Earlier experience includes a fellowship at Insight Data Science, where a web application for optimized route planning was launched, and a significant role as a Graduate Research Scientist at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), focusing on subatomic particle research and data analysis associated with the Large Hadron Collider. Leigh holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Bryn Mawr College, with minors in Astronomy and French.
