Manuel Rueda

Manuel Rueda is a seasoned freelance journalist and filmmaker with extensive experience covering Colombia and Latin America for various international news outlets, including TRT World, NPR, and Business Insider. Since April 2017, Manuel has produced video, radio, and text features, alongside contributing to organizations such as the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as a writer and videographer. As a stringer for The Associated Press, reporting major breaking news in Colombia and Venezuela, Manuel also creates character-driven stories for global distribution. With a background in digital journalism from Univision and experience as a multimedia correspondent, Manuel holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Virginia.
