Joaquin Silva had a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Joaquin started their career as a Master Thesis Internship at NEC Europe Network Labs in 2003. Joaquin then worked as a Java Programmer at Steria from 2004 to 2007. After that, they joined GEC as an IT Analyst from 2008 to 2012. Joaquin then worked at SC Trade Technologies as an IT Product Manager, where they were responsible for ERP & CRM Logistic Platform Lead Analyst and Architect, Continuous Integration deployment, task and processes automation, and Software Quality management. In 2013, they joined eDreams ODIGEO as a Technical Analyst and later became a Team Lead & Java Engineer. Joaquin worked at eDreams ODIGEO until 2019 when they joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer. Currently, Joaquin is working at Trūata as the Engineering Team Lead & Big Data Software Engineer, and they also hold the position of Engineering Manager - Platform Applications.

Joaquin Silva obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Joaquin attended the university from 1998 to 2003. Additionally, they pursued further education by completing a Master's program in Project Management at BES La Salle in Barcelona from 2013 to 2014. Joaquin also obtained several certifications in functional programming and big data analysis from Coursera Course Certificates, including Specialization in Functional Programming in Scala, Functional Programming in Scala Capstone, Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark, Parallel programming, Functional Program Design in Scala, and Functional Programming Principles in Scala. These certifications were obtained between May 2020 and September 2020.
