Stephen's career started in the technical field as a Senior Consultant at Intec from March 2005 to February 2007. Stephen then became a Co-Owner of School and Office Support in February 2003, where they provided technical advice, wireless internet broadband, networked storage systems, and training services to schools and businesses in the Connemara area.

Before their co-ownership, Stephen also worked as a Senior Consultant at Intec from January 2003 to June 2003, where they resolved billing issues and addressed the root causes of Singl.eView issues by reconfiguring Singl.eView.

Stephen O'Callaghan has an extensive education history. In 1990, they attended University College Cork and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Economics. In pursuit of further education, they enrolled at University College Cork again in 1994 and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Software Engineering in 1995. Continuing their studies, Stephen attended the University of Limerick from 2006 to 2008 and completed a Master's degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management. In the same period, they also pursued a Professional Diploma in Management Accounting from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, which they obtained in 2009. Most recently, in 2020-2021, Stephen attended the Letterkenny Institute of Technology, where they earned a Postgraduate Diploma in CyberSecurity.
