David Knightly has a diverse work experience in the auto finance industry. David started their career in 2009 as a Regional Sales Manager at Gateway One Lending & Finance, where they played a key role in establishing the company's presence in the prime/near prime market in South Florida. David then worked as a National Sales Manager at SAFCo, where they oversaw the sales team for the company's US expansion and implemented a growth plan to double annual originations in the subprime lending space.
In 2012, David joined Exeter Finance Corp as the Vice President of Branch Operations and Sales. David was responsible for developing and managing the branch network across the United States, as well as overseeing branch and sales managers to meet company expectations.
David then served as a Division Sales Manager at United Auto Credit Corporation in 2015 before joining GM Financial as a Regional Sales Manager later that year. At GM Financial, they managed the subprime arm of the captive finance company and achieved large origination volumes while growing the ancillary product line.
In 2016, David became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Innovate Auto Finance, where they led the sales and marketing function for portfolio acquisitions in the buy-here-pay-here (BHPH) and finance company space. David also built and managed a new sales team and collaborated with credit, risk, and collections departments to identify growth opportunities.
From 2018 to 2019, David worked as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Platinum Auto Finance, where they played a critical role in all aspects of the lender's profitable growth.
In 2019, they transitioned to Vehicle Solutions Finance as the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operations for this deep subprime lender in Florida, Texas, and the Carolinas.
Throughout 2020, David held roles as an Auto Finance/Dealership Consultant as a self-employed contractor, assisting small to mid-sized auto finance companies in analyzing risk, credit, underwriting, pricing policy, compliance, and sales output. David also provided advice on funding sources, lines of credit, and bulk portfolio sales options.
Currently, David Knightly serves as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at TruDecision Inc, a fintech company. Their focus is on helping TruDecision attack the fintech market and achieve scale, utilizing their integrated risk and analytics platform to assist lenders in outsourcing their scoring models at a lower cost. David brings their extensive experience in auto finance and asset-backed lending to contribute to TruDecision's growth.
David Knightly has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance from Worcester State University. David attended the university from 1988 to 1992.
