Director of Mission Engineering at True Anomaly

Chris B. has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Chris is currently the Director of Mission Engineering at True Anomaly, a position they started in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Sierra Nevada Corporation as the Mission Design & CONOPS Lead from March 2022 to November 2022. In the same company, they also served as a Principal Systems Engineer from March 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining Sierra Nevada Corporation, Chris held various roles at Ball Aerospace. Chris was the Advanced Systems Manager from June 2018 to March 2021 and worked as an RF Engineer from January 2011 to June 2018. In addition, Chris worked as a Computer Support Technician at ATLAS, the IT support group for the College of LAS at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, from November 2006 to December 2010.

Chris began their career as an RF Intern at Ball Aerospace in June 2010, where they contributed to the correlation effort for data from the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) and developed a Matlab antenna array pattern tool for engineering analysis.

Chris B. has a diverse education history. Chris started their academic journey in 2006 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2010, they furthered their education by enrolling in the University of Colorado Boulder from 2011 to 2013. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on RF, Radar, and GPS.

To expand their knowledge and expertise in the field of Computer Science, Chris B. then decided to pursue a Master of Science degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Chris embarked on this educational endeavor in 2021 and is expected to complete it in 2023.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Chris B. holds a certification as a Private Aircraft Pilot, obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration. The specifics regarding the month and year of obtaining this certification were not provided.
