True Cut is a genomics company that establishes and documents the genetic identity of cannabis cultivars.

Cannabis has been propagated clonally and traded under names for decades, with no reliable way to confirm that a given cut is what it is claimed to be. Names get reused, reassigned, and copied. Genetic identity is the only stable reference, and the tools to record it have been out of reach for most of the people who need them.

Not anymore. We built an affordable, accessible way for breeders, cultivators, and license holders to establish what they actually have.

Forensic Identity Dossier™ ($399 per sample)
A genetic identity and distinctness record for a single cultivar, built on RADseq. It documents the cultivar’s genetic fingerprint and its pairwise genetic distances and relationships to other material, with a signed certification of the analysis. Built to be attached to license agreements, breeding records, and IP disputes.

Cultivar Verification Service
STR fragment analysis for direct sample-to-sample comparison: license audits, clone transfers, incoming plant QC, and dispute triage. Faster and lower cost than a full dossier, and available on its own. No dossier required.
