Ben Thorpe

Ben Thorpe is currently working as the Chief Financial Officer at True Potential LLP since July 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Group CFO at Brooks Macdonald from August 2018 to July 2023. Earlier, they held the position of Head of Finance at Brewin Dolphin from May 2014 to July 2018. Before joining Brewin Dolphin, they had multiple roles at Standard Bank Group, including Managing Director positions in various finance and strategy departments from October 2008 to April 2014. Ben also worked as the Finance Director for Front Office and Non IT Support Functions at Barclays Capital from October 2004 to September 2008. Ben Thorpe began their career as an Associate in the Boots Groupwide Graduate scheme at Boots from September 1998 to April 2000.

Ben Thorpe completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Government & History at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1995 to 1998. Subsequently, from 1998 to 2002, they studied Accountancy at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and earned the FCMA designation.
