Jonathan Cooper

Jonathan Cooper has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Jonathan is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at True Zero Technologies, LLC since July 2021. In this role, they manage a large team of professional service consultants and senior engineers, supporting both the public and private sector.

Prior to their current position, Mr. Cooper worked at Defense Point Security, LLC from 2012 to 2018. Jonathan held the role of Senior Director, overseeing and managing customer portfolios for the company's Managed and Professional Services division. Jonathan also served as Director of Professional Services, where they ran and oversaw the company's Professional Service offerings through partnerships with industry-leading technology providers. Earlier at Defense Point Security, they worked as a Program Manager/Splunk Architect and a Splunk Architect/Project Manager, providing engineering and architectural support to customers.

Before joining Defense Point Security, Mr. Cooper worked at QinetiQ North America from 2009 to 2012 as a Senior Security Engineer, providing security engineering and sustainment engineering services. Jonathan was involved in supporting a large-scale remote access solution and an identity management solution.

From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Senior Automation/Systems Engineer at AMDEX Corporation, specializing in custom system automation solutions and synthetic transaction monitoring.

Prior to that, they worked at Digital Solutions Inc. from 2005 to 2008 as a Senior Automation Specialist. Jonathan applied advanced system automation techniques to improve system availability and operational response time. Jonathan also coded custom web applications and CGI scripts to provide customers with unique views into their applications and systems.

Their earliest role was as a Senior Data Entry Operator at Digital Solutions Inc. (Government Contractor) from 2004 to 2005.

Jonathan Cooper obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from George Mason University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they attended Northern Virginia Community College from 2002 to 2004 and earned an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Network Engineering. Jonathan completed their secondary education at Forest Park High School.

In addition to their degrees, Jonathan Cooper has obtained several certifications. Jonathan became a Splunk Certified ITSI Specialist in November 2016 and a Splunk Certified Enterprise Security Implementation expert in May 2016. Jonathan also holds certifications as a Splunk Certified Consultant I and II, which they achieved in September 2015. Jonathan's earlier certifications include Splunk Certified Architect (from V4 through V6), obtained in February 2013, as well as Network+ and Security+ certifications from CompTIA, both earned in September 2012.
