Devender Bindal

Devender Bindal has worked in the tech industry since 2011. In 2013, they co-founded PrepVocab, an app to help students prepare for exams like GRE, CAT, SAT, GMAT and ACT. Devender also worked as a summer intern at the Computing Science Department of the University of Alberta, where they developed a software engineering approach to reduce power consumption. In 2012, they were a software engineer at Simplibuy Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and a winter intern at Payu India, IBIBO Web Pvt. Ltd. where they designed a crawler in PHP. In 2015, they worked as a product engineer at Sprinklr, where they single-handedly developed an ecosystem for product adoption. From 2017-2018, they were a software development engineer at Tower Research Capital and a co-founder at HomeVisitors from 2018-2019. In 2019, they were a cohort member at Entrepreneur First and is currently a co-founder and CTO at TrueFan, a company backed by Ronnie Screwvala, Mayfield India, Saama Capital, and angel investors.

Devender Bindal obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Prior to that, they completed their Intermediate in PCM from Saraswati Bal Mandir, Nehru Nagar, New Dehi in 2007-2009. Additionally, they obtained the certification for Developing Your Emotional Intelligence from LinkedIn in August 2020.
