TrueForest is a Peru-based conservation and climate solutions company focused on protecting high-value tropical forest ecosystems through scalable REDD+ development, biodiversity conservation, and community-centered land stewardship.

Our flagship initiative, the Zal Chala Conservation Concession, protects 72,264 hectares of primary montane cloud forest within the Gran Pajatén Biosphere Reserve in the San Martín region of Peru, bordering the Río Abiseo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The project area forms part of a critical Andes–Amazon ecological corridor that supports biodiversity conservation, watershed protection, climate resilience, and long-term carbon storage.

TrueForest is currently developing a high-integrity REDD+ framework aligned with international standards including Verra VM0048, with the long-term objective of generating verified carbon credits that support durable conservation finance and community development.
