Michael Anderson

Michael Anderson, CPA has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Michael is currently the VP, Controller at Truepill since December 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Finance at VIVIO from April 2021 to December 2022. Michael also worked as an independent Finance and Accounting Consultant from June 2020 to March 2021.

Michael has a strong background in finance and accounting. From 2017 to 2020, they held the position of Sr. Director, Finance at McKesson Specialty Health | The US Oncology Network, where they led a team handling financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting for a network of radiation centers. Michael was also a Board Member at Southern California Radiation Oncology, LLC, a joint venture partnership between McKesson Specialty Health and City of Hope.

Prior to that, Michael held various roles at McKesson Specialty Health | The US Oncology Network, including Senior Director, Finance - Integration PMO and Senior Director, Mergers & Acquisitions Finance / Director M&A Finance. Michael was responsible for financial due diligence, business investment/acquisition, and developing long-term physician partnerships.

Before their time at McKesson, Michael worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Manager and Senior Associate, where they gained experience in audit projects for various companies.

Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in technical accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. Michael has experience in diverse sectors such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and professional services.

Michael Anderson, CPA has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from Cal State East Bay- College of Business & Economics. Michael also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara. In addition, they have received a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy in 2006. Michael has also completed a program in Strategic Leadership from Wharton Executive Education.
