Patrick Albert

Patrick Albert has worked in a variety of leadership roles in the tech industry, most notably as the Director of Security Engineering at Optimizely, the Director of Product Security and Engineering at AppDynamics, and the Director of Operations and Security at Tinder. Patrick is currently the Vice President of Security and Trust at Truework.

Patrick enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in September 2005 and served as a Platoon Commander and Platoon Sergeant until September 2010. Patrick then transitioned to the tech industry, working as a Web Operations Analyst at Live Nation for six months before taking on a role as an Account Executive at Reboot Networks, where they worked for three years.

In October 2013, Patrick joined Tinder as the Director of Operations and Security. In this role, they founded and led the SRE, IT, and Security teams, responsible for scaling production environments, corporate systems, infrastructure, and application security solutions. Patrick left Tinder in February 2017 to join AppDynamics as the Director of Product Security and Engineering.

At AppDynamics, Patrick was responsible for founding, hiring, and managing the Application, Cloud, and Architecture Security Engineering programs with 18 team members. Patrick oversaw over 40 products across 60 environments. In February 2020, they left AppDynamics to join Optimizely as the Director of Security Engineering. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company's Application and Cloud Security teams. Patrick left Optimizely in February 2021 to take on their current role as the Vice President of Security and Trust at Truework.
