Benjamin Agner

Benjamin Agner serves as the SVP and Head of Network Security at Truist, overseeing various corporate cybersecurity teams, including Firewall Engineering and Malware Analysis. Previously, Benjamin held the role of SVP for Cyber Defense Engineering and Innovation, managing numerous initiatives in cloud and email security. As a co-founder and independent board director of Rocky Linux, Benjamin contributes to the development of a community-led enterprise operating system. Benjamin's experience includes serving as Deputy CISO at Unum, where responsibility encompassed security engineering and risk compliance for a large organization, as well as a director role at Aflac, focusing on security for subsidiaries and M&A activities. Benjamin's career also features positions in IT audit, security, and consulting across various firms. Benjamin holds a BSBA in Computer Information Systems and Accounting from Appalachian State University.
