Dan Schmidt

Dan Schmidt, CISA, GSNA, currently serves as the SVP and Business Information Security Manager at Truist, a position held since 2021. With a background in management information systems from East Carolina University and an MBA from Campbell University, Dan has built a diverse career that includes roles as Information Security Officer and Information Security Manager at Truist and BB&T, respectively. Dan's earlier experiences also encompass positions such as IS Auditor at the NC Office of the State Auditor and Quality Assurance Tech at Computer Task Group. Throughout their career, Dan has demonstrated a strong focus on security and risk management in various organizations.
