Shane Goodwin

Dr. Shane Goodwin serves as the Executive Director of the SMU Corporate Governance Initiative and is a Finance Professor and Adjunct Professor at Southern Methodist University. With over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and investment banking, Dr. Goodwin has held leadership roles across various prestigious institutions, including Columbia University and Harvard Law School. They are a board director and SEC financial expert, also providing expertise as an expert witness in M&A and governance matters. Notably, Dr. Goodwin has actively contributed to the field through research focused on shareholder activism and corporate governance.
