Hal Lonas

Hal Lonas has an extensive work experience spanning several technology companies. Hal is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Trulioo since February 2021. Prior to this role, they held various positions at OpenText, including Senior Vice President and CTO at the SMB/C Business Unit, and Senior Vice President and CTO at Carbonite, an OpenText company. Lonas also served as the CTO at Carbonite from September 2019 to December 2019.

Before joining OpenText, Lonas held the position of CTO at Webroot, where they played a crucial role in delivering cloud-architected cybersecurity products. Webroot was acquired by Carbonite in January 2019. Prior to Webroot, Lonas served as the VP of Engineering at BrightCloud, a company specializing in Threat Intelligence, which was later acquired by Webroot. Hal also held leadership positions at ADP Dealer Services and Websense, where they led engineering departments and contributed to the development of innovative products.

Lonas started their career as a Software Engineer at Linkabit and later served as the Director of Engineering at Optigraphics/Altris. Overall, Lonas's work experience showcases their expertise in technology leadership, cybersecurity, and product development.

Hal Lonas attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1979 to 1983. Hal earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics.
