Sarah Buchner started their career as a Carpenter at HB Tischlerei in 2006 and worked there until 2014. Sarah then joined Neumayer ZT GmbH as a Construction and Site Manager from March 2014 to October 2014, and later became a Lead Project Manager from October 2014 to December 2015. In 2016, they joined STRABAG, where they held various roles, including High-potential rotation program + Researcher from November 2016 to January 2018, Project Coordinator, Digitization from February 2018 to December 2018, and Group Leader, Digitization / Digital Consultancy from December 2018 to August 2019. In 2018, they also worked as a University Lecturer at FH Campus Wien | University of Applied Sciences from July 2018 to August 2019. Most recently, they became the Founder & CEO of Trunk Tools, Inc. in November 2021.
Sarah Buchner has a diverse education history, starting with their Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from Technische Universität Wien, which they obtained in 2014. In the same year, they also earned a Diplom-Ingenieurin (Dipl.Ing.) degree in Bauingenieur from FH Campus Wien | University of Applied Sciences.
Sarah then continued their studies at Technische Universität Wien, completing a Diplom-Ingenieurin (Dipl.Ing.) degree in Architectural Engineering in 2016. During this time, in 2015-2016, they participated in an exchange program at McGill University, where they focused on Engineering & Construction Management.
In 2017, Sarah enrolled in Technische Universität Wien for their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of Civil Systems Engineering / Data Science. Sarah also undertook further education that year at Harvard Business School Online, where they completed a certificate program in Disruptive Strategy with Clayton Christensen.
Sarah's pursuit of knowledge continued with their recent enrollment in the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they are currently completing their Master of Business Administration - MBA degree.
