Alane Dent

Alane Dent has extensive experience in the insurance and legislative affairs sectors. Alane currently holds the position of Vice President, Corporate and Legislative Affairs at TruStage since January 2023. Prior to that, they founded and served as the CEO of Dent Strategies from April 2020 to December 2022. Alane Dent also held various senior leadership positions at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) from 2004 to 2020, including Senior Vice President, Federal Relations and Vice President & Deputy, Federal Relations. Alane briefly worked as the Director of Federal Affairs at the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) in 2004. Alane Dent began their career as a Legislative Counsel in the Office of Rep. Earl Pomeroy in the U.S. House of Representatives from May 2001 to March 2004.

Alane Dent obtained a B.A. in Political Science from Howard University in 1992. Alane later pursued a JD degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have also obtained certifications in Credit Union Development Education from The National Credit Union Foundation and completed a Corporate Social Responsibility Program at Duke University.
