Jay Schmidt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in ethics, compliance, and risk management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Enterprise Risk Management at TruStage since February 2022, Jay previously held the role of Consultant in Ethics & Compliance at CUNA Mutual Group from March 2013 to February 2022. Prior to that, Jay was Senior Program Auditor at UW System Administration from January 2001 to March 2013, and served as Senior Policy Analyst for the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission from December 1993 to December 2000. Jay began the career as a Legislative Analyst with the Wisconsin Legislative Audit Bureau from August 1989 to August 1993. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Science, Environmental Studies, and GIS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
