Circuit Design Engineer at Trusted Semiconductor Solutions

Travis Johnson has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. Travis began their career in the US Navy as a Nuclear Electronics Technician, where they were responsible for operating a nuclear powered reactor and performing preventive and corrective maintenance associated with electronic instrumentation and control equipment. In 2011, they joined Archer Daniels Midland Company as a Power Plant Operator, where they operated a coal fired fluidized bed combustion boiler and natural gas/oil fired package boilers for the production of steam and electricity to process soybeans. In 2015, they became a Chief Boiler Operator at International Paper, where they supervised, operated and maintained the boiler plant for the production of corrugated boxes, and reviewed and maintained operational records. In 2018, they took on an Intern - Electrical Test Engineer role at SICK Sensor Intelligence. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Trusted Semiconductor Solutions as a Digital Design Engineer.

Travis Johnson began their educational journey in 2005 at the Nuclear Power School - Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) where they studied Nuclear Electronics Technician. Travis then moved on to Normandale Community College where they earned Associate's Degrees in Engineering and Physics between 2016 and 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they attended the University of Minnesota and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Currently, they are enrolled in the University of Minnesota where they are pursuing a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
