Doug McGowan

Doug McGowan has held several roles in the technology industry since 1997. Doug began their career at HP as the General Manager of Innovation Centers and Mobile Professional Solutions, where they led a multi-function team responsible for making HP the leader in end-to-end solutions for enterprise mobility. Doug also founded and led the VerSecure start-up security software business, driving a lobbying effort at all levels of U.S. government to allow the worldwide export of strong encryption. In 2003, they became President of Suitelinq, a business that installs and runs a network of thin-client PC devices in hotel rooms. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as the COO of IT Global Solutions and as a Principal Consultant at Engineering Management Services. In 2011, they became the CEO of Urban Cyberspace, dedicated to reducing the Digital Divide by using the latest internet technologies. Finally, in 2014, they became a TrustedPeer Expert in Software and Technology Companies, providing high-quality consulting expertise.

Doug McGowan received a MS in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and a BS in Math and Physics from the University of Michigan.
