Peter Buckner

Peter Buckner has over 35 years of work experience. Peter began their career in 1981 as a Member Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Labs, where they were responsible for designing and administering an on-switch database. In 1985, they joined Teknekron Communications System, Inc (TCSI) as the Chief Technology Officer, where they led a team of engineers, writers, and testers to develop a wide range of telecom-related software. In 2003, they moved to Rocket Software as the General Manager and Chief Technologist of the Telecom Unit. In 2007, they founded and became the CEO of AvnWx.com, where they designed, developed, and marketed Aviation Weather services. In 2008, they became a Partner at Four Hour Ventures, LLC, where they were responsible for all design and engineering projects. In 2010, they became the VP Research & Development at Mobile Money Ventures, LLC, where they re-designed the core product to reduce external dependencies. In 2012, they joined SystemHire as the VP Engineering and TrustedPeer as the CTO, where they were responsible for designing, developing, and supporting a multi-tenant expert network platform.

Peter Buckner received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Williams College in 1981, and went on to earn a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University in 1984.
