Adam Compton

Adam Compton is a Principal Security Consultant at TrustedSec. Prior to joining TrustedSec, they worked as a Senior Security Consultant at Rapid7 from August 2015 to July 2018. At Rapid7, Adam conducted a variety of penetration tests for high-end commercial clients and prepared quality reports that comprehensively and clearly explained risk, demonstrated findings, and offered tactical and strategic recommendations to clients. Adam also delivered debriefing presentations to key stakeholders and developed scripts in a variety of languages such as Python and Perl to automate routine tasks. In addition, Adam researched the latest exploit methodologies and transferred knowledge to other team members.

Before their tenure at Rapid7, Adam worked as a Senior Penetration Tester at ManTech International Corporation from February 2014 to July 2015. In this role, they conducted a variety of penetration tests for high-end commercial clients, prepared quality reports that comprehensively and clearly explained risk, demonstrated findings, and offered tactical and strategic recommendations to clients. Adam also delivered debriefing presentations to key stakeholders, developed scripts in Python and Perl to automate routine tasks, researched the latest exploit methodologies, and transferred knowledge to other team members. Additionally, Adam delivered course content to technical personnel.

Adam Compton's educational career began at Lincoln Co High School. Adam then went on to study computer science, math, and computer security at the University of Kentucky, where they earned their BS. Adam later received certification from ISC2 in CISSP.
