Chris DeMay

Chris DeMay has over 18 years of experience in the technology and venture capital industries. Chris began their career in 2000 as President and Founder of Drillfield Design, LLC. In 2002, they began working in various roles for the United States Department of Defense. From 2010 to 2015, they were the Founder & CTO of HawkEye 360, where they grew the team to 60 employees, launched operational satellites for spectrum detection and emitter geolocation, developed a vertically integrated RF processing and analytics system, built a tremendous government and commercial pipeline, and raised $100M of capital with strategic investors and top-tier VCs. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Mentor for both the Techstars Space and Techstars Los Angeles Accelerators. In 2020, they became the Founder & COO of TrustPoint, Inc. and also worked as a Space 2.0 and ISR Consultant. In 2021, they became a Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners.

Chris DeMay has a Master of Science (M.S.) in Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Information Technology (BIT) from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University - Pamplin College of Business. Chris has also obtained several certifications, including a DAWIA Program Management Certification, Level II from the Defense Acquisition University in October 2013, a Program on Negotiation Executive Education - Negotiation and Leadership from Harvard Law School in 2012, a Leading High-Impact Teams (Certificate) from the Kellogg School of Management in 2007, a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in September 2005, a Certificate of Completion in Information Technology Project Management from the American Management Association in June 2005, a Software Engineering Practice Certification from the United States Department of Defense in July 2004, and a Software Engineering Process Certification from the United States Department of Defense in May 2003.
