Karla Agregado

Karla Agregado is an experienced security researcher and engineer with over a decade in the cybersecurity field, currently working at Trustwave since October 2021, focusing on email and malware research, rule creation using Boost RegEx, and applying machine learning in URL threat analysis. Prior to this role, Karla spent over 11 years at Trend Micro, where responsibilities ranged from being a Senior Threat Research Engineer involved in DevOps and machine learning applications for URL detection, to various roles including Senior Anti-Phishing Investigator, Web Threat Expert, and Technical Lead on malware and web threat analysis. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Polytechnic University of the Philippines and Cisco Certified Network Administration from the University of the Philippines.
