Scott Shannon

Scott Shannon has extensive experience in database architecture and development, currently serving as a Database Specialist at Trustwave since January 2019. As the Owner, Database Architect, and Performance Specialist at Data Guardian Inc. since April 1996, Scott has demonstrated significant expertise in the field. Previous roles include contractor positions at Krux Analytics Inc. and McAfee, and various contractor roles at Hewlett Packard and Symantec, where Scott contributed to several high-impact projects, particularly in designing scalable database infrastructures. Notably, Scott played a pivotal role in Symantec's DeepSight system and served as Technical Lead at TransCanada Pipelines, focusing on optimizing critical systems. Educationally, Scott holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, earned between 1984 and 1988.
