Dimitry Breus

Systems Hardware Engineer at TruTag Technologies

Dimitry Breus has a long history of experience in the scientific and engineering fields. Dimitry began their professional career in 1993 as a Visiting Student at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. In 1995, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at Berkeley Lab, where they developed techniques and methodologies for analyzing experimental results on the basis of mathematical models, designed algorithms and implemented computer software for analyzing experimental data and testing mathematical models, and authored scientific reports and publications. That same year, they were also a Visiting Researcher at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, where they developed a specialized software package for analyzing experimental thermochromatographic data, and assisted in the set up of thermochromatographic experiments and the assembly of thermochromatographic columns. In 2006, they joined XIA LLC as a Staff Research Scientist, where they designed and implemented firmware and software support for multi-channel detector analyzers, and developed techniques and methodologies for analyzing digitized detector output on the basis of mathematical models. In 2016, they founded Breus Research, where they worked as a Research and Development Scientist. Most recently, in 2021, they joined TruTag Technologies, Inc. as a Systems Hardware Engineer.

Dimitry Breus obtained a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley between 1997 and 2005. Between 1988 and 1994, they obtained an M.S. in Chemical Engineering with an emphasis on Nuclear and Radiation Chemistry from Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.
