Omer Gelbard is a seasoned technology leader and engineer with extensive experience in building and scaling engineering teams and platforms. As the Founding Engineer at CapitalOS since August 2022, Omer has previously co-founded Always Tasting and served as an advisor for Exponent and New Relic. At Lyft, from 2019 to 2021, Omer led the Fleet Platform Engineering team, significantly scaling Lyft's fleet infrastructure and optimizing operational workflows. Omer's entrepreneurial spirit is evident from co-founding Pramp, where a focus on live coding interviews transformed hiring processes. In a previous role as Engineering Director at Microsoft, Omer managed a distributed system for Yammer while enhancing team diversity. Omer's career began in the Israeli Air Force, advancing from Engineering Manager to Senior Software Engineer. Omer holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from The Open University of Israel.
