Karin B. Schmidlin is a design lecturer, education researcher, and PhD candidate dedicated to enhancing design education to tackle the complexities of interconnected global challenges. Currently teaching design courses at multiple institutions, Karin encourages a systems-thinking approach among students while pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Education. Previously, Karin earned a master's degree in Digital Media and collaborated on an award-winning educational video game. With extensive experience in UX design and teaching across various educational institutions, Karin's work aims to empower the next generation of designers to create impactful and sustainable solutions.
