Christel Breum

Christel Breum is an experienced compliance and regulatory affairs professional with extensive expertise in financial institutions. Currently serving as Head of Group Compliance at Tryg since July 2020, Christel previously held key positions including Head of Regulatory Affairs at Danske Bank and Head of Regulatory Business Implementation at Nykredit. Christel has significant experience in compliance oversight, financial crime prevention, data management, and program leadership, with a strong background in advising senior management on compliance risks and regulatory requirements. Prior to these roles, Christel worked at Nordea Bank Danmark A/S in various capacities, including Management Partner and Country Risk and Compliance Officer. Christel's career in the legal field began at Amagerbanken A/S and was preceded by legal advisory experience at Københavns Retshjælp. Christel holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Copenhagen.
