David M.

David M. is a Cyber Security Consultant at Whirly Labs (Pty) Ltd, with a focus on building effective and cost-efficient security programs. Currently engaged with TryHackMe as a CTF Player, David also serves as a Security Researcher (Bug Hunter) for Bugcrowd. Recently volunteered with BSides Cape Town, contributing to event planning and attendee support. David’s previous experience includes a role as a Data Capturer at Wits VIDA Research Unit, where responsibilities involved patient recruitment and data management, and as a Phlebotomy Technician at Ampath Laboratories, conducting sample collections while ensuring excellent patient care. David is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of the People, with an expected graduation in February 2026.
