Cliff Abernathy, P.E. has extensive experience in the field of engineering, particularly in the deployment of wireless telecommunication sites for various providers. Cliff began their career at Southland Engineering, Inc. in 2005 as a Cad designer, where they assisted the project engineer with design and development tasks for commercial and residential land development. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Design Engineer at DLM Engineering & Surveying, supporting the project engineer in the design and development phases of land development projects.

In 2009, Abernathy joined Florence & Hutcheson as a Civil Engineer, and later that same year, they moved to Infinigy Engineering as a Project Engineer. At Infinigy Engineering, they managed the deployment of wireless telecommunication sites for providers such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and Motorola. Cliff was responsible for site visits and preparing construction drawings, as well as managing leasing, zoning, engineering, construction, and permitting documents for the cell sites. Abernathy held this role until 2013.

From 2013 to 2015, Abernathy served as the Director of Engineering at Knight Group Engineering. In this position, they continued to manage the deployment of wireless telecommunication sites for various providers and was responsible for site visits, site improvements, design issues, and preparing required construction drawings. Cliff also managed leasing, zoning, engineering, construction, and permitting documents for the cell sites.

In 2015, Abernathy joined Crown Castle as a Senior Project Engineer, where they initially focused on managing the deployment of wireless telecommunication sites for providers such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile across the United States. Cliff also oversaw all leasing, zoning, engineering, construction, and permitting documents for the cell sites. In this role, Abernathy successfully assisted in the development of a new A&E office in Alpharetta, Georgia. From 2018 to 2019, they served as an Engineering Supervisor at Crown Castle, managing the deployment of wireless telecommunication sites and setting and managing client-driven timeline requirements.

Currently, Abernathy holds the position of Director of Engineering at Trylon, where they have been since 2019.

Cliff Abernathy, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. Cliff later pursued a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, studying from 2016 to 2018.
