Josh Rathke

Josh Rathke is the current Head of Engineering at TryNow. Prior to this, they were a Technical Lead at RevolutionEHR from June 2018 to October 2020. Josh has also worked as a Senior Web Application Developer at Nomad Global Communication Solutions from May 2016 to June 2018.

Josh is experienced in coaching engineers through the problem-solving process and lead them towards solutions relevant to the problems at hand, along with providing in-depth technical feedback on code submissions. Josh has also developed an in-house State Management library that allowed developers to make Angular components stateful. Additionally, they created a library allowing developers to mark backend endpoints for front end consumption and caching, reducing the server load significantly and freeing up resources and money.

At Nomad Global Communication Solutions, Josh helped architect and build Angular 2 and PHP web applications to allow customers to access secure data. Josh also built Node.js and PHP backend REST APIs for frontend Angular 2 applications using various ORM packages. Furthermore, Josh developed custom authentication and authorization middleware for an Express.js based API using JSON Webtokens. Josh also lead development on proprietary Node.js applets to interface with and alter configurations on Cisco enterprise grade networking equipment. Lastly, they constructed and launched a PHP based reporting tool with a jQuery powered front end to give production managers more visibility into production processes.

Josh Rathke's educational career consists of him receiving a Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue University.
