Deborah Hanus has a wealth of work experience. Deborah started their career in 2013 as a Fulbright Scholar at the U.S. Department of State. In 2014, they became a Software Engineer at LeadGenius. In 2015, they were a National Science Foundation Fellow at Harvard University. In 2017, they became a Software Engineering Intern at Google. Finally, in 2018, they became the Cofounder & CEO of Sparrow, the first end-to-end leave management solution for modern employers.

Deborah Hanus has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science & Machine Learning from Harvard University, a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and two Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees from MIT - one in Computer Science & Engineering and one in Brain & Cognitive Sciences.
