Eugene Chen

Eugene Chen is an experienced R&D Technical Manager at TSMC, specializing in diffusion and epitaxy processes. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, they have a strong background in the semiconductor industry, focusing on silicon-based and III-V materials and devices. Prior to their current role, Eugene held various positions at Lumileds, where they directed manufacturing operations and led yield improvement initiatives. They also worked as a scientist at Genoa Corporation, developing epitaxy for optical amplifiers and laser diodes.
