Michael Chen

Michael (Chao-Yang) Chen, Ph.D., is a Principal Engineer at TSMC, where they focus on Emerging Memory Technology Development. They previously held roles at imec as a PhD Researcher, studying reliability in resistive RAM, and worked across various engineering positions, including at NXP Semiconductors and as a Junior Field Application Engineer at WPG holding Rich-Power. Michael earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and a Master of Applied Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto, where they also served as a Teaching Assistant.
