Michael Nannini

Michael Nannini has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Michael currently works as a Project Manager at Total Systems Technologies Corporation, supporting program and project management for the U.S. Coast Guard's CG-2 Intelligence organization.

Prior to their current role, Michael worked as a Senior Associate at BayFirst Solutions LLC, where they provided expertise in Capability Analysis and Requirements Development for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Michael prepared Capability Analysis Study Plans and Reports documenting TSA-enterprise capabilities for Identity Management Enrollment and Vetting.

From 2012 to 2019, Michael served as a Principal Analyst at CENTRA Technology, Inc. There, they were responsible for Lean Six Sigma process improvement efforts within TSA's Security Threat Assessment Office Adjudication Center. Michael successfully identified process improvement opportunities and significantly reduced case processing time.

Before joining CENTRA Technology, Michael worked as a Program Analyst at the Transportation Security Administration from 2010 to 2012. In this role, they served as a Senior Risk Analyst in TSA's Office of Intelligence, providing strategic risk analysis for the aviation and surface transportation sectors. Michael developed a methodology for assessing insider threats and contributed to the Transportation Sector Security Risk Assessment.

Prior to their TSA roles, Michael worked as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and as a Manager at AT&T Solutions. Michael started their career as a Professional Staff member at the US House Committee on Government Operations, where they coordinated congressional oversight activities and investigations of Federal agencies.

Michael holds a wealth of experience in project management, capability analysis, process improvement, risk analysis, and congressional oversight.

Michael Nannini obtained a High School Diploma from Portsmouth Abbey in 1985. Michael then attended the University of Chicago from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government. Later, Michael pursued further education and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 1994 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Nannini has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they became a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute. In 2016, they achieved the certification of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Practitioner, and also attained the ITIL Foundation certification from ITSM Academy. More recently, in 2020, Michael completed the Data Science Orientation course from Coursera, earning a certificate. Additionally, in 2021, they became a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) through the Scrum Alliance.
