Japan's traditional crafts and farms are disappearing — not because the knowledge is lost, but because there's no one left to pass it on to.

TSUGI Japan connects the world's next generation with the masters who need them most. We place international students and early-career professionals with traditional craft workshops and farms across Japan for 1–12 month immersive internships — in pottery, textiles, rice farming, sake brewing, woodwork, and more.

This isn't a tourist program. Interns live and work alongside master craftspeople and farmers, contributing real skills while learning traditions that have been refined over generations.

Currently in early development. We're building our host network across Japan and speaking with students and early-career professionals worldwide who want something more meaningful than a typical internship abroad.

If you're a craftsperson, farmer, student, or just someone who believes Japan's living traditions deserve a future — we'd love to connect.
