Eric Lakin

Eric Lakin currently holds the position of CFO Designate at TT Electronics plc, beginning in January 2025. Previously, Lakin served as Chief Financial Officer at Ceres from January 2022 to January 2025, contributing to the clean energy sector. Lakin's extensive experience includes roles such as CFO/VP Finance & Strategy at Smiths Interconnect, Interim CFO at Morpho Detection, and Corporate Development Director at Smiths Group plc, where significant M&A activities were undertaken, including raising over £500m through divestments and a $710m acquisition. Earlier career experiences include roles with Oakley Capital Corporate Finance, Alchemy Partners, BT Group plc, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, focusing on corporate finance and equity analysis in telecoms and technology. Educational qualifications include a MA in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Satellite Telecommunications with Distinction from the University of Surrey, and leadership education from UCLA and Harvard Business School.
